Thread: Brokeback Mountain

    Default Brokeback Mountain

My wife wants me to take her to see this movie. All I've heard is two types of reviews.

Either people call it a gay cowboy movie or they see it's a fantastic film.

Can anyone comment on this film that has actually seen it?

    Broke Mountain?

A movie about an adulterer? Where's the movie about how their families lives were shattered? Oh wait... those movies are on the Lifetime channel and none of those are up for awards...

Everyone who talks about this movie makes one huge mistake. They are not COWBOYS, they are SHEEP HERDERS . Think about it.

Havent seen it, 99.9% chance I wont see it. I have heard people say it is a good movie, but if I was forced to go I would take the IPOD.

Haven't seen it, but you have to ask yourself - is any movie about gay cowboys going to be one you want to see, regardless of how good it might be?

Yeah, my wife said to me the other day, "hey we're going to have to go see that movie". I said you might go see it but I'm not going. I can see me now in the movie screaming "git offa him".

I have not seen the movie and probably won't for all the reasons listed.

On the other hand, I want to thank black roadster for posting the thread and all you 's for making me laugh harder than I've laughed in days. I am so glad this forum is politically correct

William... have her give BJ a call... perhaps we could both avoid this flick without ticking off the wives!

I already told her she was going to have to see this one with the girls. I'll pass it on as a suggestion. Maybe we can see something cool and manly like King Kong or a Kung Fu movie ::BLee:: while they go see Buttcrack Mounting.

Something about "broke-back", and "Gay Cowboy" just really says it all.
I wonder though how many new couples,...(you know when the guy is trying to make an impression on his new g-friend) will go and see this this movie.
Then the guy (after the relationship goes south) comes out of it messed up for life....lol

Dude. It's just a damn movie! I dodged a bullet so to speak though. The wifey is going out with her girlfriends tonight to see it and darn the luck I have to work tonight.

You'd probably get a round of applause. By the way... looks like a sequel is already in the works...
