    Nope, didn't say, but it is the car from Craigslist. Overpaid for it, $3k, but it runs, barely. Am considering a fresh engine for it...

    My worst commute was to Dallas Methodist, I'd survive the traffic to arrive in the ER and take care of car wreck victims...

    Welcome to the group!

    I'd been eyeing that car on Craigslist since it seemed so nearby. Nice buy!
    Since upkeep generally means upgrade in my world, any thoughts on dropping in a 1.8 in place of the barely running 1.6?

    I'm sure you could find some eager hands locally to help, pass tools around or at least to permanently borrow a few bottles of your favourite drink.

    Yep, a 1.8 upgrade is a definite possibility, will prob go for a recycled engine.

    One of the reasons I bought the 97' is because of the active Miata forums, and it's pretty cool you guys are local.
