The 215's aren't bad in the wet as long as there are not puddles. If so, they skip like a flat rock on a pond.

And I would bet that my hard 215s at the wear bars would be even better at skipping. I believe the 615s are advertised as having better wet traction. Hmmmm

The video I posted is a set of thoroughly worn 215s... Don't sweat it. Worry more about the drive to/from than competitiveness.

That is exactly my concern. I am aiming for a last place finish... I just want to get to and from the site in one piece.

Lube your windshield wiper bushings and you'll be fine. All my rainy encounters in the Miata were slowed more by windshield wiper inadequacy than by tires.

Well, okay. If I wasn't in charge of Tech I'd be waiting to make my go decision as well.

FWIW, I wouldn't worry too much about tread depth unless we get a torrential amount of water. lugnutjon took FTD at the first S2k event last year, in the rain, with standing water, on V710s.

Everyone who's registered probably already got the email, but just to reiterate. This event will happen rain or shine...

Hmmm... I didn't get the email. Did anyone else get an Email, or is there a problem with my email?

Or maybe the S2K people just don't like you.

OK... some basic questions for the morning:
    1. Where are we meeting?
    2. What time are we meeting?
    3. How long should I give myself to get to the meeting place from PGB and the Tollway?
    4. What is the quickest driving route to take?
