Default Miata.net banners- Can you see them?

We are considering advertising with Miata.net, but I am concerned because some programs like Norton, I am told blocks you form seeing the banners. I have contacted Gary Fischman who maintains the site and he acknowledges the problem, but does not know how to fix it. Having a banner on their site is not cheap. If a lot of people including me can not see the banners because I am trying to protect my system then it is hard to justify.

Could I ask everyone willing to let me know if you see the banners, I would like to get this information back to Miata.net to help them and me to justify the cost.

I wonder if this could be setup as a poll to simplify?

    Thanks in advance,

    Gary

I have McAfee security Suite 7 (I think) and can see them. Altough I never read read or go to them.
Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

They show up on Firefox at home. I actually do pay attention to them and click on them every now and then.

I don't visit retailers websites very often but do click on the banners sometimes. They're good reminders, I click to see what's new.

I can tell you that I NEVER click on banners... except on Miata.net. I don't have any Miata.net vendors bookmarked, so when I need to get to visit a vendor site, I go to the Miata.net marketplace page where all of the banners are shown. When I first got in to aftermarket Miata stuff, It didn't even occur to me that there could be worth while vendors that were not already listed there. When I go to other interest forums (such as the ones for Metropolitans) I am always frustrated in attempts to find a nice consolidated page of banners like Miata.net has. But that's just me.

Spend the money Gary... I am pretty sure you would make your money back tenfold just from the added business you would get once you and Mike could answer questions and talk about your products on the forum.

I can see the banner ads at the very top of the site, but that's it..

And this is from my office computer which blocks just about any google ad, or other banner ads... It's actually rare that I *do* see em, but I can see those...

but again.. I rarely click 'em.

I used to have problems with seeing them and I stopped going there. Unlike Titus, I have all the big names bookmarked because of this.

I just went there to check and they do show up now.

FYI, My PC is old and running WinXP, IE 6.0 and Norton 2006.

Default I see them and use them.

Miata.net is the place I go first when starting a search for a new part. I use Mozila and 2 full time virus scanners and have no trouble seeing Miata.net's banners. I trust them.

I'm at a friend's computer using IE with AVG Free anti-virus program and I can see the miata.net banners. My computer at home uses IE with both AVG Free and Norton and I can see the banners there also. Don't remember anything about an ad-blocker when I installed the Norton System Works ~2 yrs ago when I bought it.

I can see the banners from home and work with no issues. Home computer has McAfee and Norton and maybe something else my techie friends have put in there. No idea what's used at work, but there's definitely something in use.
