Default April 8th Double Wide, Tumble Weed, Cattle Ranch Tour

Are you ready to drive? On April 8th MME will participate in a drive to Hico Texas to eat lunch at the Koffee Kup Restaraunt, named one of the top 10 places to stop for road food in Texas. We tried their pie today and it was goooood!!

The folks from the north will leave the Frisco CRUISERS at 7:45 am sharp to meet up with the folks from the south at the Arlington IHOP in front of the Parks Mall on the service road. We will leave Arlington NLT 9:15. The Koffee Kup has reserved their back room for us and I have agreed to get us there around 12:30 as to stagger the lunch crowd. We timed the run from Mansfield today and it took us right at 2:50 minutes to the restaraunt so I am adding in some time for large group run and a potty break. The route will take us down 287 to Mansfield and across some back roads into Grandbury. Out of Grandbury we will take FM51 for an excellent chance to experience some twisties. At the Somervell County line on US 67 there is a rest area and overlook where we can take a group picture.

After lunch we will go a little south and turn east on FM917 towards Lake Whitney before coming back into the metromess from the south. There will be several places for folks to bail out for a faster trip home if they wish.

I will have directions available for everyone. Total mileage will be around
250+ so fill up before leaving and we can refill in Hico. All I need is a definite head count so I can let the Koffee Kup be prepared. Who's in?

I haven't managed a drive with you guys and gals yet, so I'm in this one on April 8th. Look forward to good weather...somebody already ordered good weather didn't they?

My wife hates cars, so I'll just be me and the other woman...Mia. Mia only consumes Premium gas, so only 1 to dine.
