A couple notes to other breakfast afecianados...
- I checked out the other Original Pancake House in Addison last weekend... no where near as good as the Northwest Highway one.
- If you want something rather unique, try the Big Dutch Baby. It takes a good 20 minutes for them to make it, so be sure to get your order in early to avoid watching others eat while you wait.
Does one need thumbs to eat this?
The lemon wedges may be hard to handle.
Checked on my car today in the body shop and it turns out I need a new fender (they can't fix the old one) so I've got to find one in a hurry if I want to show up. If it's done by Thurs or Fri I'll be there

Lemon wedges on a pancake? Hmm...The lemon wedges may be hard to handle.
Much like some crepes, they are served with butter, powdered sugar, and lemon wedges. You get to set the sweet/sour ratio to fit your palate.
Yep... my mom made them for a special treat when I was growing up, and I have made them myself a few times. Their version is almost as good as homemade, but Mom's will always be the best. Being that they are the only restaurant that I have ever seen make them, they get a big thumbs up from me.
One of my mom's other special morning breakfasts was giant crepes, which she always serves with butter, sugar, and lemon wedges. Being that I grew up with multiple lemon-topped breakfasts, it never occurred to me that it might be a bit uncommon to most.
From you, that should be easy!
