Is this the real thing, or an elaborate Merkur conversion? You decide.

Looks like a Merkur XR4Ti. Kind of cool but not worth the $$$. Consider the nightmare of parts availability.

I think the point is that people who bring these over here register them as Merkurs because they were never approved for sale in the States. I don't really think the seller is asking you to play a guessing game.
