Any body else curious about the top coming off (the car's not Vicki's... perverts!). Wonder what happened to make it do that.

I wondered about that too, that can't be a very good thing at all.

I'd take an NA over an NC as well...
Yeah, I'm not sure how the latching mechanism for the NC is setup. I just know it has one handle now.
I'm with you guys, barndoors rule!![]()

Wow... sixteen years of progress and the new car only laps 1 second quicker than the original?![]()
I would love to see the same comparo between the NC and a 1.8L NB Sport.

My question is who test cars for performance in the rain? I bet the NC would be able to pull out more time if it could put down some more power out of the corners.
And the NA would be able to brake deeper on a dry track without ABS. I think the lack of ABS in the wet is more of a hindrance than an extra ~40 hp (with a similar power-to-weight ratio).Originally Posted by Majik

I believe I have heard them mention that their test track is in a region that sees over 160 rain days a year.Originally Posted by Majik

News Flash: Noticed a similar thread to this on another board, but with a very important piece of information that we didn't have here... the NC was a UK 1.8 version. This video shows a 1.8 NC beating a lighter 1.8 NA. I have a feeling that the more profile 2.0 NC would have spanked it.
