Hello, My name is Mike Valant. I am the crazy MINI driver that managed to design a course that ran nearly 60 seconds on that tiny patch of concrete at Pennington.

I've owned a Miata since last summer, and I just now found out about this forum! Duh. Sorry I missed out until now.
Welcome to the board, Mike. I worked a corner with you at the PCA AX102 school this year - the other instructor on your corner. Good to see you found our little slice of the web!

Welcome aboard Mike! I enjoyed the course (red Miata #43) and watching you scoot around it. Don't be a stranger!

Mike, it was a pleasure to watch you out there while I was picking up other people's cones. You were very impressive.

I am excited to have gotten second in the X class. Now I have Samm in my sights.

I am looking forward to see you all again. My next race will be the ER race on the 28th.

I did cone a couple of times, I promise! Congrats on Second - not an easy task at all!!! Now If I could just snag a podium more often...

LOL! I DNF'd every single run in the morning. SOLO2M3 had to point out where I was missing a gate and I got it right in the afternoon. I was having a hard time making clean runs in the afternoon too. Could have cost me the win.

The funniest thing was the guy and two girls near the clock at the end. They kept looking at the timer, then back at the little girly miata, then back at the timer with most confused look on their faces. LOL!

Cool! I even got to see a bit of my own driving there. At first I saw a MINI take off before the first slalom and though, "wow, that thing accelerates! Who's MINI is that?" Then realized, duh, it's me...
