Looks like I'll be here driving the screamin' yellow bananna, instead of out at Mineral Wells with the S2k folk.

If I'm not working, I'll be in MW for NTS2K #3.

altiain..why don't you and lugnutjon un-register for S2K so other kids can play!

I am planning on going to the BMW event on Saturday. I will see how I feel about going on Sunday, too. If I go on Sunday, I will probably opt for the S2k event unless it is filled up, in which case I will be at ER.

S2K does pre-registration and it's already full. Maybe you can talk altiain in to giving you his spot if you're interested.

Enough already - I get the point, sammm. I unregistered this morning, which should free up a spot.

You'd drive from Houston for an ER event??? At Pennington Motor Speedway, no less???

    I'll be there, too.
What's left of a '96 Miata with stock clutch.
My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.

Nothing like getting to race while scoring points with your wife for driving her up for a visit with her parents at the same time!

I can try. I will check for Miatas in front of either before going to the 'speedway'.

I am very happy with my driving at TMS today, so I am ready for more tomorrow. I faired much better than last week.

Let's here it for lost 216 who won the highly competitive tire class! He was able to hold off Robert, a Z06, the evil Neon, and jrj512!

It was a fun day!!! My car was in the garage by 3pm, and I made some PAX Money!

    PAX money is good.

I didn't fare so well against Jon in the regular runs, but I did manage to come back and beat him in the PAX. Nice to see three of the current/former Miata owners in the top 15 PAX spots!

My two fastest runs were the two runs when I used first around the loop and coming out of the last slalom into the final S-turn. I think first worked for me (especially on the final S-turn) because I had to give up so much because of my crappy tires and shocks. I think if I had better tires and shocks to carry me through that transition from the slalom to the S-turn, then I would have been able to maintain my speed and stay in second gear. I do not think I gained much by using first during the loop, although I enjoyed having the car a little 'edgy' when doing it.

Dang it, still two seconds behind Lorin. I'll get him someday... but then what will I do? Such is life.
