I know nothing about bikes. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night....
And I did save money on my car insurance using...

Anyway if you get a bike you might want a place to ride it.
This site might be of some help locally.

We should have a MME ride at a local trail sometime. Some of you who ride may even want to come out. I have been riding Rowlett Creek Preserve Trail twice a week for the past 3 weeks (just getting back into it.)

I'll be out at RCP after work today. Just helped a buddy build himself another singlespeed. Those avid disc brakes are a sob to align though..

wow, you guys really have some nice bikes. Mine is also a $65 Walmart special. Since the brake cables broke, it has the Kevin Bacon Quicksilver brake mod. Also it is a 1-3 speed, because thats all that work. It still does pretty good for riding around the block with my son.

For any of you who have ridden them, how does RCPT compare to Northshore Grapevine or Cedar Hill? I'll be moving to the Murphy.Sachse.Wylie area soon, and I'd love to know what the best area trails are.

It's not near as rocky/rough, more shade to ride through, single track in one direction. Not a bad trail IMO. I like it cause it's less than 10 minutes from my house.

If you want a good beginner trail, there's one off of 380 that is pretty flat... It's about a 12mi round trip to the first park, more than that if you want to go to beyond the Isle du Bois park to the dam at Lake Ray Roberts.

There's shade for the first couple of miles... then you are out in the sun.
