Thread: R pkg deck spoiler: paint?

  1. #1

Default R pkg deck spoiler: paint?

I've been collecting some parts here & there in the past couple of months, and this week brought a trunk spoiler to my door along with a few other goodies. It's a slightly weathered black that would likely polish up nicely. So here's the question: should I leave it black or paint to match the car?

My tastes tend to be fickle, so I'm seeking a little input.
Saw a Mach1 'stang on the road today and rather liked the black spoiler, so I'm a little torn.

On a happy note, my shopping list is now four items shorter.

I doubt it polishes up nicely. Every LE I've seen has needed to be repainted, so either way it'll need paint. Stick it on and see what you think for a few days, then decide.

You know the rocker panels are painted black from the factory on NAs, don't you? There is a story about it, but I don't feel like typing it right now. I have actually considered painting my rockers yellow.

By the way, if you decide it is too much trouble, let me know... I would be happy to buy the spoiler from you.

On a red car, I think having the trunk spoiler black along with the front lip spoiler black would look pretty nice. I've seen it before and loved it, but its a bit of a race look as opposed to a classy look. Check the forums for pics or play with photoshop to help decide.
