Thread: #$%^# Vandal Thiefs!

    Default #$%^# Vandal Thiefs!

My Mom has had her Accord broken into twice in the last week. She lives in S. FW. All she has is a car port. Both times a window has been smashed out. The first time they stole a gas card she shouldn't have left in the car. (Mom! What were you thinking?) This morning all they did was smash another window. Doors were still locked.

She doesn't have a car alarm. Not sure how much it would help anyway. Moving is not an option. FW Police say they will step up patrols. meh...

I could suggest leaving the doors unlocked but that might create new issues. My mom will not arm herself.

Bet the second time around they were looking for another gas card.

I bet even if she didn't lock the car they would still break the window...

What about some window tint, make it harder to look in the car, or what about a nice florescent light in the carport to make it a less desirable target??

    Good thoughts..

The window tint might help and I'll see if she has a light or we can wire one up.

I've always liked motion detector lights or one of those big sodium-vapor dusk-to-dawn lights.

I think in this situation it would be more effective to have Samuel L. Jackson camp out in the back seat with a mother farkin shotgun to shoot the mother farkin punks that keep breakin out the window.

That sucks. Our Corolla was broken into in Chicago. They took about $1.42 in loose change but left my Maui Jim sunglasses in the glove box. Sorry this has happened to your mom. I vote for big guns. Or a big dog.

The problem is these punks are doing it in broad daylight. It's a back alley carport that doesn't see a lot of foot traffic.

Don't believe it - the last time I was the victim of a similar problem was during a downpour. The investigating officer pointed out that nobody pays attention at a time like that.

When you coming to my house Titus ?
