Hey Nexus, any chance of you taking your RC drifter? i'm still working on mine and i wanted to see how you cut that pvc pipe or what else you did to it... is it hard to install a third channel to the receiver/remote? I'm thinking about adding some steroids to my buggy!!!

Actually I'm still riding or rubber tires for the rear. Other than that it has titanium turnbuckels and hinge pins, full teflon sealed bearings, a JR Propo Alpina radio and a Tekin ESC.

As far as adding a third channel to a radio, I don't think it's really possible. Also you would need to move up to a three channel reciever to have 3 plugs for servo outputs.

There are, or there used to be, 3 channel pistol grip radios out on the market. It's been quite a few years since I have payed much attenetion to the RC car scene.

There's still good 3 channel and even 4 channel pistol grip radios on the market, even some high end computer radios for good prices. I don't pay much attention to cars either though as I'm into airplanes.

OK, Sorry I've been out of the loop for the last week with the move and all. They finally hooked up my internet yesterday, so I am slowly starting to get back into the mix.

That's cool, moving sucks... this will be my last Wed. night meet for a long time, I start school next Monday and I'll probably disappear for a few months

It's growing like a weed! Every week something new pops up. The lake is nothing but a dammed up river; long and narrow. Some of it is pretty, but there's a power plant on the main area that is just plain ugly. The drive up and down 377 has gotten terrible over the last ten years. I used to enjoy the drive in my Miata, but now I gotta watch out for all those slow drivers in the left lane. It used to be quiet, peaceful, and dark enough outsie to see the milky way. Not now. I'm liking the little country town of Springtown much better these days.

i was thinking of making my own 3 channel receiver and see if i can modify my control... the third channel will prolly be used for one of those rocket engines with an electric igniter... its just something i've been wanting to do for a long time now.

As for the meets, I am now miataless as of today...
