ccage can weld... I'll have to call him and ask though.
One of the fenders on my HF trailer gave up and needs repair.
The mounting holes are now slots and I think the solution is to weld plates onto the fender and drill new holes.
I don't have the equipment or ability to weld, so I need some help. Does anyone know a welder willing to do such a small job?
TIA for serious suggestions.

Are the fenders steel or aluminum? I hear aluminum is a little harder to weld.
By the way...Anyone else getting ads for what looks like anime porn at first glance at the bottom of this thread?
How about a couple of fender washers.
Eh, no.Originally Posted by Titus
By the way, the fender washers might be a good bet... unless that gash is really that large!
If the trailer is steel and not aluminum then it should be an easy fix. You can weld the fender washers in place instead of using a piece of plate. Clean it up and slap on some paint. Its prety easy.
I have all the tools need to do this.
If its aluminium then you need to find someone with either a TIG or a spool gun on their MIG (I dont have one for mine).

Fender washers are my second choice and the fenders are made of some ferrous material.
About 1/3 of the diameter of the holes plus a large chunk of the fender is MIA.
