Some of TDR's fine work. Hit 8 pounds of boost right out of the garage. Working on some tuning issues tomorrow and it looks like I will be getting the larger injectors as well. Damn this thing is fun to drive.....and I'm not talking about 55mph anymore either

Actually... I'm still dizzy from the fumes... I was down wind while trackdog was getting the initial tuning done.
Maybe 4 wheels aren't so bad after all... wickett.org

He's just jealous TtT! Yours runs.

Very nice - actually I'm a little jealous too! I'll have to talk you into letting me behind the wheel when you get the tuning finished.

Tuning is done and the car runs very strong!! Had to replace an upper radiator hose last night because the old one was extremely pregnant. I am going to leave this s/c in until I replace it with an M62 with some trackdog mods. That will be the final one. I guess the best thing I like about this is that at about 3500rpms, when I hit the gas, it has some get up and GO

Congrats TtT, nice to hear that is is finally an InterCOOLER now.

I think your speed problem is related to your bad knee, cannot push the pedal down.

Yea, he needs to explore the RED ZONE! We are very pleased with the setup on Tim's car. This is an experimental setup that has our ported M45, larger TB, prototype SC intake and the Greddy Emanage Ultimate. Boost is 7.5 PSI and feels every bit. We will be doing a dyno run here shortly.

Due to the high compression of the '01+ cars we had to remove a significant amount of timing compared to earlier cars. Normally on a '99 we could run 7.5 PSI of boost with no timing retard using our TDR intercooler. How much more boost can we add to the '01+ cars? Not much. Adding boost requires removing timing and it becomes a diminishing return in producing power. If you have to take out more timing due to more boost you are potentially taking away most of the power increase. Adding more boost does not necessarily make more horsepower.

Personally I would not recommend any '01+ to run anymore than about 8.5 PSI which should be good for about 200 HP. This could be done withe either an M45 or the MP62.

If you have any questions on this setup we would be glad to help.

    Boost is good!
