Actually the words clinically depressed might be more accurate. I know lots of idiots and sadly none of them are trying to kill themselves.

The will to live is too strong. I think you'd have to have some medical issues to explain it.

DPD does not have an investigation, just a reported medical situation, not criminal. Suicide attempts ARE charged and treated as criminal investigations.

Also once TO is healthy enough to be released medically he would be transferred to a psychiatric facility for evaluation if it was a suicide attempt.

I'm saying media over-reaction, but we'll know later today WTF is going on.

If he wanted to be an attention whore, all he needed to do was be caught with some hookers and some cocaine. Worked for Michael Irvin.

Please don't tell me you're defending him. If he really ate that many pills, unless he thought they were Tic-Tac's, I'm sticking with idiot.

    Didn't work for POS, though.

I'm not defending Owens or the media, but both seem to play off each other very well. That and the fact that we, as viewers, empower both of them.

Nope. Not defending him but I'm not judging him either. I could care less that he is a pro football player. Obviously he has a lot to be thankful for.

However, I seriously doubt this is a publicity stunt for him. A more realistic theory is the money and fame also created a lot of pressure in his life. Perhaps enough to put him into clynical depression.

We don't know his personal life. We haven't walked in his shoes. We are in no position to judge him. I just hope he gets the help he needs.

He claims it was a big misunderstanding. I have no reason not to believe his story.
