KESTREL,
You have mail.....
I thought I'd give this forum and it's members a try...
I'm looking for a good -- but cheap -- graphic artist to do a couple of simple LOGOs for me. I've searched the internet and gotten a few quotes, but they average $600... per design! That's at least 6 times what I'm willing to pay. So I got to thinking... Maybe one of you "college types" know some Graphic Arts student(s) that would like to make a couple hundred bucks to do three LOGOs? Or perhaps one of you has a hidden talent for this stuff and some spare time on your hands?
If Joe's suggestion doesn't work out, let me know. My sister-in-law is a starving graphic artist in NYC, and I'm sure she'd be more than happy to do some work on the side for a little extra cash.

I have used Art Institute students before with good results. Price is usually free or cheap, it's more of a portfolio builder for them.
probably way too late again
