Thread: Brazillian OBVIO

  1. #1

    Default Brazillian OBVIO

    Coming to America!

The regular version gets 29.4 mpg in the city.

But here are two statistics that are interesting when read together:

    1. Curb Weight: 1,318 lb. (600 kg)
    2. Also available with Obvio's "HIGH POWER SERIES" 170 and 250 HP engines.

    Holy crap!

Screw that. I'm not driving anything with a 6 speed steering wheel.
Maybe 4 wheels aren't so bad after all... wickett.org

Here is some more info. For some reason the zap link doesn't work at my work.

Actually, I think the reason they kept the curb weight at 1,318 lb was because you have to push it backwards to wind up the spring before you take off the brake and shoot forward...

Cool, I would entertain the possibility of buying one for a daily commuter so long as I can get a colour other than lime green with orange!
Wonder what the storage space is? Says its a rear drive rear engine so that's a pretty large nose on that egg! If I could get my hockey bag and stick in it I'd take one for a city car.

Kinda doubt it since it comes with a special locking backpack rack in the storage area. Maybe you could mount the hokey gear on top of the car or in the pasangers seat.

If I'm gonna spend that kind of money on an electric car, I'll just pony up an extra thirty grand and buy a Tesla.

But going back to the Obvio for a moment, the 115 hp, 1,300 lb version for $14,000 is pretty interesting.

A 1,300 lb car sounds interesting until it is hit by a F350 dually. I don't think I would drive one of these in TX.

If they come out with a "sports" version it's pretty clear it would be called the ObvioS.
