Fun course! We ended up finding my lost/fastest run in the computer. I ended up running a 77.2.

Fun runs were great! Big thanks to Altiain for letting me drive one of the B-stock monsters. I've always loved the RX-8, throw in some R-comps and Konis and WOW!

I don't know if I should thank or curse Titus (not because of rain). His car was a blast to drive, but now I want a supercharger!

I should have some video to post in a little while.

    I show 89 runs, but who's counting?

I probably put about 1000 miles on the tires. Too lazy to go look at the exact miles.

I remember that I was way overly agressive at the first two events (mineral Wells) after buying the tires and it really put the hurt on them. Not having the sway bar also had me drifting too much. The level of wear decreased after that.

Another fun S2K event. Congrats to Miatamoto for winning Miata class. I think Majik took second and Robert third. Morning was chilly, but the afternoon session was beautiful.

It was a very eventful day for sure. Lots of weird/strange things happenend, including during my ride home.

I had just merged on to 35W North bound off of I-30. When I did traffic in the right lane was completely stopped. Long line of cars and a Honda Valkyrie Interstate (which I had admired earlier) was last in line. I was off to the right, trying to angle in and merge.
A GMC Jimmy came over the crest of the road behind me and obviously wasn't paying attention. I knew what was next. I was about 5' away when they got hit. The Jimmy locked up the brakes and swerved to their left. They clipped the back end of the Valk and sent the 2 riders flying. Older couple, both wearing helmets and safety gear. No blood and they were both conscious. I jumped out of my car, helped the lady sit up and helped the guy pick up his bike and push it to the shoulder. She thought one of her arms were broken, but it could have been much worse. Very sobering.

I really hate that merge. Really. I think Dave04 will attest that I took a very interesting line the last time he followed me through that merge. Still makes me shudder.

Sammy you need to follow me back from MW one day, I don't even get on 30, take the back roads to Jackboro Hwy, then down to 820.

Real nice of you to help those folks 99% of people would just drive on by those folks.

    Wow, scary stuff Sammm!

So Majik, what's going to happen? Both of us have 2 1st place finishes and 2 2nd place finishes. Do we share the first place trophy? You can pick it up from my place every other week.

I managed 230 runs, between events and schools, and about 12,000 highway miles on my set of Falken RT-215, in about 14 months. They are slicks now, but are not corded.

jrj512 has only one corded tire, the other three looked OK.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

If that tire is always mounted in the same spot (RF), I wonder if a caliper is hanging or something.

I am bleeding the brakes today before I put my wheels back on to see if that helps. Hopefully it will be that easy, but it rarely is.

BTW, does trying to use my tires until they reach the cords help my chances for induction to TCB?

    I want it for Christmas!

I figure we can tie break by using the best excuse for why we missed event #4. I was moving, I think you were being a and said you were "sick" We can set up a poll for people to decide .

Since you didn't actually race on them, we'll have to go to the judges.

If they use the same scoring system as last year, Thomas wins by 1 point. Why? Because you forgot the appearance of Mr Wooten at event 1. He actually took 1st place, with Marc in 2nd and Thomas in 3rd. 1st is worth 9 pts, 6 for 2nd, and 4 for 3rd.

    Thomas's 3rd, 1st, 2nd, 1st is worth 28 pts.
    Marc's 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 2nd is worth 27 pts.
