Some Civil War era horse shoes, a wheat penny, and an old brass hammer head. Nothing major.

The host for the hunt presented me with a nice .56 cal 3-ringer as a souvenir of the hunt and I have an open invitation to return any time.

Since that is still my territory I have the opportunity to pack the detector up and take it with me to go hunt when work pays for the trip next time.

Went to deep East TN - 1680 miles round trip from Friday through Sunday. I'm glad to be back at work today, I need a rest from vacation time!

Bean, not sure I'm going to sell anything yet. I'll see what I find on the next trip. I still have to hook up the electrolysis rig and clean everything I found real good and get them stabilized. Need to stop the rust.

I'll be building a small shadow box for display of the items I brought back with the exception of the hammer head. I'll clean it up and put a new handle on it. I can always use a good brass hammer for working on some rifles I've been fiddling with.

If you're curious I hunt with a Prizm IV and a DFX (with the optional 6x10 DD coil) from White's Electronics.

    Nope...

Two metal detectors, clothes, laptop, cooler full of Rib Ends from Clark's, and a 1.6L Miata head wouldn't all fit in the Miata.

One of my best friends - guy I grew up with - was over in East TX visiting family. We met up on my way out of state in Mt. Pleasant to swap the head for a 1.6L short nose crank.

So, I took the truck. It was needed for the gear, for the ground clearance for offroad parking at the hunt site, and it has cruise control to help avoid roadside chats from Kojak with a Kodak.

The Rib Ends and a bottle of wine from my favorite vineyard were presents for the host of the hunt. Clark's has another set of fans now.
