Well, I DVRed yesterdays 2 and finally watched them today. The first one in Ontario was a great race with lots of tight racing and lead changes, but Mid-Ohio was pretty boring. Part of it may have been the TV crew, as I think they did a better job capturing the action at the Ontario race.

It was a great close racing. Ara M... is 3rd place in the points after the 4th race was my first instructor at MSR back in 2000. He got pushed around several times at the Ohio race.

I watched the finial two races today. Great clean racing. Interesting autocrossers took 1st and 2nd in points. Local driving hot shoe Deborah Loth of Fort Worth took 5th in the points.

Merv we got to get you some kind of sponsor so you can go play with theses guys/gals.

    Edit:...
Ok Jim Daniels may not be the same Jim Daniels I thought was an autocrosser. Maybe some one else here knows for sure.

But I am impressed by his website. 35 tickets by the age of 9.
I did not know he was a local guy.

"Jim is part owner of Team MER operating out of the Ft Worth TX area.

Motorsport Enterprises Inc. Racing (MER) is located at Motorsport Ranch, a 304 acre facility located 14 miles South of Fort Worth, Texas on Highway 377. The Road Course is 1.7 miles long, is 40 feet wide, has 11 turns, off camber turns, elevation changes, and is designed to be run either clockwise or counter-clockwise."

Great racing shown today. But WHY, tell me why, a Mazda series had a Toyota as the pace the car in the final race??????

At least that's what I thought I saw.....

Did you see the cloud of Utah dust go flying when the car left the track. It was filthy!!!

I watched and enjoyed all the races the last couple of weeks.
Anyone have lap times compared to Spec Miata?

Different Jim Daniels. He's fron Memphis, TN and has raced lots of stuff. He's very arrogant, but also VERY good! As they say, it's not bragging if you can back it up, and he sure does. Jim hooked up with Shannon McMasters a couple of years ago, giving him lots of support for getting SM organized and into a national class, and Shannon built him a winning SSC Mazda3 for the Runoffs in either 04 or 05.

Jason's MX-5 was six seconds faster than his SM at the Ranch, the first time out. I would guess it's more like eight, now! And YES, we need some sponsorship AFTER my house is done and gone, 'cause I really want to go play with the big boys. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see any of the Cup races thanks to their playing in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, as that's my LONG day in Granbury every week. If anyone recorded them, I would love to have a copy. Thanks

I have 6 of the 8 races on DVR, but I don't have a DVD burner to dump them to. If nobody else comes through, I will see if I can borrow a burner.

You could always do what I do for friends and copy them to VHS easily.
Wish I hadn't deleted them after watching or I'd do it for you guys.

Wow... haven't used one of those things for recording in years. Do they still sell blank tapes?
