If only I had vacation time...
I would DEFINITELY be up for it.
Thinking about driving the Pig Trail and a few of the twisties in Arkansas in between Christmas and New Years. It would be an overnight trip..maybe two. Anyone have some time off that would like to try it?

MMMM, now that sounds a treat. I happen to be off that week and am looking for something to get me out of this town. Wonder if the wife will let me take her car for a few days?
Are you leading this drive? Sure you don't need a few more days for the round--trip?

Don't look...there's nothing down here for you!
I have a reservation at the Queen on the Talimena Parkway for Thursday night, December 28.
Anyone want to follow up and across the parkway is welcome.

zip it Speedo......Yes I will plan it but I want to see how many "fer sure's" I get. The two roads I would like to drive are 23 and 123 and possibly the Talehmina. Any other roads will be a bonus. If you are serious post up.

Lord, I wish to GAWD I could go. Damn work. But I will make some recommendations for roads if you'd like since I used to live in the Ozark foothills and spent many years up around Branson, etc.
23 is an EXCELLENT choice.
62 is also excellent and runs through Eureka Springs
71 is no longer the fun drive it used to be
7 out of Harrison, south towards Hot Springs. Fun and a bit challenging is places.
412 is ok. This is how I came back from Branson a couple of weeks ago (to get back quicker). It's pretty mild but has some really pretty spots. We didn't put the top up the whole trip.
Old 86 & Hwy 86 leading into southern Missouri, just across the state line... freakin awesome drive! Too bad on the way up I couldn't really enjoy it. It was pitch black out at about 11pm and couldn't go over about 40mph for fear of all the deer we kept seeing on the side of the road (on four occasions). But still an awesome place to drive a Miata of any sort. In fact, you could drive up, stay at Big Cedar Lodge (absolutely gorgeous place on Table Rock Lake, but not so cheap) and come back the next day! Sh*t, I'm soooo envious.
PM me for a route map. They've finished a lot of new construction in the past, probably 5 years and things have really changed in places. I'd be happy to help plan a route if you'd like to PM me.
