Okay, nobody seems to carry an 8 pt 9/16" socket. Anybody got one or know where I can find one this morning? Still can't get that *&#^$ filler plug out.
I thought it was 14mm? Been a while since I changed the fluid, but I don't recall breaking out my inch set.

Yes... 14mm. Just as important though is that 6 and 12 point 14mm sockets won't work. I haven't seen 4 or 8 point sockets before.
I've got an 18" crescent, but its starting to round off the corners.
Try applying heat to it. If it won't come out then it's time to get a small pipe wrench. The pipe wrench will tighten its grip as it turns... you'll want a new filler bolt when you are done.
The plug is there to keep the oil from sloshing out. It only needs to be tightened enough to keep from vibrating loose.

Lightness? What's that? I drive a PRHT!
OK I was curious so I jacked up my car and took the following pictures.

Looks like 14mm is the way to go, couldn't find anything else in my tools that fit it as well.
I'm headed to Colleyville around 1:30-2:00 to go to visit my folks, can I bring ya my 14mm wrench??
FWIW, 9/16 = 14mmOr at least close enough that it works...
