With all the bracing that came with your sway bar, you shouldn't have any need for beefier brackets.

Did your new bar have the collars on it to keep it from shifting side to side, like the OEM has on an NB??

Yes...it had big white collars that went around the rubber bushings to alleviate slippage as shown on the tubular bar that I installed.

Look at the OEM Bar itself, notice the two deals that were crimped directly on the sway-bar. Those collars are to keep the bar from shifting side to side??

One other suggestion I would make - order a pair of two-piece clamp-on shaft collars from McMaster-Carr (search for "shaft collars" and click on the links that come up) with an inner diameter that matches the outer diameter of the sway bar you're using.

Place them around the bar, inboard of the mounting brackets. Once you've got the bar centered and you've tightenend the mounting brackets, slide one collar over to the inside edge of each bracket and tighten them down. This will locate the bar laterally (you'll notice the OEM bar has rubber bushings that serve this function), and keep it from "walking" to one side or the other, which may in turn prevent you from breaking the OEM swaybar mounts.

The RB I bought didn't. I had to order a pair of 'shaft collars' from McMaster-Carr.

It is...just get the 1-1/4" inside diameter. Try part number - 6157K21

Thanks POS and Sammm....thats the one I had bookmarked. I didn't notice any collars on the OEM one and I left it at Garys after the installation so I couldn't get a look at it.
