Might wanna start saving up for some Mazdacomp swaybar brackets.![]()
I put one of these big honkin bars and brace on the front today and what a difference in handling from the OEM. Car is tighter and stiffer![]()

With all the bracing that came with your sway bar, you shouldn't have any need for beefier brackets.
1994 R-package - gone, but not forgotten.
1966 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Restification in progress. or should I say De-RUSTification in progress?
1984 Honda VF1100S. V4 Fury!
Did your new bar have the collars on it to keep it from shifting side to side, like the OEM has on an NB??
Yes...it had big white collars that went around the rubber bushings to alleviate slippage as shown on the tubular bar that I installed.

No I don't think you and I are on the same page.
Look at the OEM Bar itself, notice the two deals that were crimped directly on the sway-bar. Those collars are to keep the bar from shifting side to side??
Did Racing Beat give you something like this with the kit??
Found this on Miata.net from some know it all!

Samm,
Was yours the hollow tube 1.25 and if so do you remember the part number of the shaft collar?

It is...just get the 1-1/4" inside diameter. Try part number - 6157K21
Thanks POS and Sammm....thats the one I had bookmarked. I didn't notice any collars on the OEM one and I left it at Garys after the installation so I couldn't get a look at it.

Don't forget to liberally lube the bushings as well. (let the smart-ass comments begin now........)
Some of us may need more lube than others.![]()
