What do the stock 17s weight? I think it is going to be hard to find something in 17, light weight, and afordable. I think it is one of those "you can have any 2" deals. Here is one option that covers the weight and size requirement.

Titus is right, they don't get much lighter than that and at a little over $200/ea you are going to be paying an ever increasing premium on anything lighter.

By looking at the dimensions though it seems that you have the same rim requirements as some of the Honda guys. BTW what is the bolt pattern for MS Miatas? The RSX's are 5x114, I just didn't remember if you have 4 or 5 lug.

    Other options:

Motegi Tracklites are about 15 lbs and $280
OZ Ultrelaggas are about 16 lbs and $270
SSR Type C RS are about 14.5 lbs and $390
    WedsSport TC005 are about 14.5 and $300

Yep... going to a 15" rim will get you a 12lb wheel for $85, and the tires are a lot cheaper (and lighter) too. I suspect it would be cheaper to get a set of 15" wheel with sticky tires to use just on track days than it would to get 17" wheels only and transfer over your current tires.

Oh nevermind. I guess I just used to seeing too many 5-lug swap Integras and Civics. That and since '01 some Civics and Integras have been coming in 5x114.

Except that price was for a set of 4. I am not looking for a track specific rim since my car will only see the track a few times per year. I personally do not ike the look of 15's on the MSM. I am trying to keep the 17 look with a slightly lighter wheen that has better styling than the RH that are on there now

    What about a compromise to a 16?

I agree, I think the MSM looks good with the bigger wheels. Go in between:
