do you buy gas from the next station on the street? whatever octane they have? any time of day?
i (99%) buy my gas from a shell station, highest octane -shell Vpower 93 octane only if theres not a gas truck filling up the tanks...
unless the needles buried resting on the pin, 50 miles afterwards... then i gotta go!
Exxon, Chevron, Shell, Phillips, etc. 91-93 octane. Whoever is cheapest, but not Citgo!!!
I also try to stick with name brands, as I have noticed that Tom Thumb and Race Track gas tend to not give the performance or economy of the major brands.

QT is my norm. 1/2 my fleet runs on the cheap stuff the other 1/2 gets mid-grade.
QT Premium for half the fleet...
The wife likes to fill up hers on 87 at RaceTrac and I've given up on changing her..
Hugo Chavez diesel if it's cheapest for the rig (Citgo... I get better mileage out of it... go figure!)... Otherwise I use the $.10/gallon coupon at Kroger.

It only goes to show when people can no longer discriminate on the grounds of race, religion, or sexual orientation, they can improvise and still find someone to hate. - Dave Moulton
Shell Premium unless the premiun is way over priced compared to the mid-grade/ low grade price gap.
Low = 2.09
Mid = 2.18
Premium = 2.50 (in this scenerio I'm getting mid)
Low = 2.09
Mid = 2.19
Premium = 2.29 or there abouts I'm going to get premium
I'm not going to squable over a dollar or two for a tank of gas. I try to do whats best for the car. I mean realisticaly people in general will probably spend more than that on Vending machines through the course of a day.
Since I don't have a choice on the octane level. I just start looking for the best price when I am running low

Always use Premium, prefer name brand.
Used to fill up mainly at the Texaco/Shell just up the street (5 cents off super on Fri-Sun) but...
I thought my mileage was lower than it should be so I started keeping track of my mileage and what station I filled up at last. I found that I average 22-24mpg when filling up at the Texaco/Shell but get 26-28 when I fill up at Mobil.Thought it was a fluke, but switching back and forth every 2-3 tanks, it has been consistent for the past 5-6 months. So, I try to stick with Mobil whenever I can. I know the stickers on the pumps say "May contain up to 10% ethanol". I wonder if the content in the Tex/Shell is higher, causing lower mileage? Hmmm, all I know for sure is my car likes the Mobil stuff better.
Nothin but Shell......It's very close to my Casa
