Default Fun drive to work today......

Due to the threat of nasty weather, and a new car, I chose the "199 thru downtown" route this morning. Just past River Oaks, I'm in the left lane and I hear a wonderful exhaust sound from behind. Next thing I know, this comes up along side.

I look at him, he looks at me and smiles. I immediately turn off the radio so I can listen to the sounds as he drops a gear and jumps ahead and in front of me. I was content to just follow as he wound it up a bit. How they make that 3.6 V8 sound so good is amazing! We played a bit of cat and mouse until we got to downtown and luckily caught the lights just right so they stayed green the whole way thru. Again, I stayed back and to the left to listen and watch. He gave me a nice treat as he purposely stayed in a low gear and the sounds echoed off the tall buildings.....music to my ears! I got slowed from left turning traffic, but wasn't ready to lose site of him yet, so I sped up a bit and caught him just before the Sonic. I didn't have to slow down as he accelerated away, just enough to let me stay with him. As we came out on 121, we were at 80+, where we stayed until traffic got heavier, then backing off to a more sane 70. I hoped I could drool over it longer, but he exited at Carson and, smiling, I turned the radio back on.

I sure do like that model. And I despise the way the Corvette tried to emulate parts of it. A Ferrari is always a nice find

In my parking garage at work there are four brand new DB9 convertibles that park next to each other. A fifth DB9 (coupe) owner also brought his new toy the other day: a metallic white 2007 911 Turbo. What a ridiculously awesome-looking car.

Do you work in an office filled with lawyers or lemmings?

Seen the DB9s when I last did lunch with S. I think it is some law firm partners that thought it would be cute to have matching cars.

This summer I was lucky enough to monkey around behind the wheel of a 360 Spider, going sideways just enough to make the owner a little nervous - needless to say, it's quite a ride...
