Thread: Aren't I smart!!

    Default Aren't I smart!!

So this evening, armed with my trusty Philips screwdriver, I headed out to the Miata do take care of a few things. I got rid of some unnecessary wiring, and studied a bit on a new mod I'm planning (amazing what a Philips #2 can accomplish on these cars ). Anyway, I then did a visor delete and screwed the plates back in. And then noticed my sunglass holder on the visor.

"crap, how am I going to hold my sunglasses now?"

Then I noticed that the spring clip on the holder comes off rather easily.

So I screwed it into the visor plate. Voila!

My interior looks really crappy when hit with a flash at night

My first original mod! (except my custom intake, but that's been done to death.)

So anyway, it worked, and now I have a place for my Dingle sunglasses.

Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week

And... how the do you get the freakin handbrake handle off??

And does anybody know of a brushed aluminum one that would match a Voodoo shoft knob?

I was looking at it today and I couldn't figure out how to hold it down without one of the OEM kits. Guess I'll put out a plea across the boards

I already asked one doofus from CR.net and he never answered

Is this the custom intake that utilizes only gravity to hold itself in place??

You pull and twist the e-brake handle to get it off....

You need to fabricate some brackets to hold that AFM in place.

Slow down there, Sparky. Just because he can install a sunglass holder doesn't mean he can fabricate a bracket.

    Yup, they sure do.

Now if only I could find a handbrake handle to match my Voodoo knob... since they don't make a brushed version...

How ironic that you managed to misspell grammar.

When I went to Hallett, I didn't have one and couldn't pass tech. I got four long zip ties. I looped two together like the oem bracket, and looped two together around the battery. The battery stayed snug and the zip ties held strong for months until I got an oem bracket.

That's really easy. Buy the voodoo and work it over with some Scotchbrite! That's probably how they get the brushed finish (either scotchbrite or sandpaper).

My inspection expires in July, what are you talking about?

Now if you somehow got it mixed up with my registration sticker (you're smarter than that, so I know you wouldn't have done something so silly), that one is expiring late this year...

I had a brushed aluminum e-brake handle on one of my Miata's. I can't remember what brand/type it was though, it was given to me.
