Default Anyone have a VW VAG-COM that can help me diag. my ABS?

I just bought a very clean 98 Jetta for my mother(she paid for it). Anyway, I am driving it for a couple of weeks to make sure there are no ghosts in the machine..... but I am getting an intermittant ABS light. I was wondering if anyone had a VAG-COM and would plug into my car and see what is up.... this would be worth several beers to me........ anyone anyone......

    Gratuitus VW Pic....

Thanks. I really like the car alot too. It wasnt registered for like two years, so I am a little worried that there are bugs to work out, but it was a one owner car.... I already had the ac fixed... it was condensing into the passenger footwell. I just got it tinted today as well. SHE IS GOING TO LOVE THIS CAR.... my mom is going to have some bling bling....

You don't understand how they read the computer for inspection, do you?

I'm not going to be at the ranch at lunch time today...

In short, it's more compliacted than there being no current MIL.

The diagnostic computer has to go through a complete "cycle" which includes several cold starts, warm-ups and shut downs without generating any errors before it provides the "clean" signal to the computer at the inspection station.

Actually, yes I do. However, clearing the CEL was more for my benefit. My VW tech (which by the way, invited me to his wedding) has already told me not to worry about passing inspection when he does the tests. I'm just tired of seeing the light come on... I know my O2 sensors are gone!

    TC,

Well, I am driving the BRG today.... got the BBS's put on, so the Jetta is at my apt complex. Could I talk you into meeting up after work?

I think I remember from the other night that you work close to McArthur and 635....I usually get off at 5ish home by 5:20-5:30. I can buy you a beer at the bar or pick up a six pack of your favorite flavor on the way home from work.... what's your brand?

    TC,

Are you gonna have some time for me today or this weekend? It is 4:20 and I get off in about 40min. Give me a buzz if you can meet up to run the diag on my vdub. I am free most of the weekend as well and will drive to where you are if that works best. Just let me know.

    Little late getting your message...

I'll be at home tinkering in the garage tomorrow... Hate to make you drive to Plano, but that's what I do to everyone else that uses the Vag-com...

Call me at 214-912-9261 and we'll figure something out.
