    Default G#$Dam@#$!!! Overheated.

I overheated on the way to dinner tonight... my car is sitting in the parking lot by Jack Astors... and now I'm here at work. It was spewing coolant all over the back end of the engine block... perhaps I blew a heater hose... damn, damn, damn, damn, damn, damn, damn....

Which Jack Astors? The one in Irving at MacArthur and 635?

Do we need to bring hoses, coolant, and tools?

Sounds like the evil heater hose behind the engine! Lots of fun to change that one.

    How can we help?

Yup... Jack Astor's at 635 and MacArthur...

How can you help you ask?

Pray that someone grants me some patience.... with all this set redesign, new look, new pieces, and 10 to 14 hour days for the last three weeks... I didn't need this new headache.

Thankfully I have AAA. I'm sitting at the station now... 10:30pm... waiting for a ride to get over to my car... then I can call a tow truck to Frisco.

    Tow Truck?

We can hit an all night Autozone and get parts to help ya tonight if you want.

I'm in Lewisville, not too far from you... I'll PM you my cell #.

    3Bean?

After your call last night I'm assuming that AAA towed it to Frisco for you...

What's the verdict on the car?

When I last left this story, I was on the phone with 3bean as kags was shuttling him to the all night Autozone in Irving (they had been to one at 12:01 that closed at midnight).

Wonder if I should drive by Jack Astor's on the way to work to see if they're still there...

We got her back up and running. There was a hole in one of the heater hoses. So we went to autozone on Irving Blvd and got a somewhat generic hose with a similar bend and made it work. I got home at 2am....6am alarm was real early......

Darn.. sorry for the long update....

Yeah, kags and ,by default and from afar, TC helped me get the ride back on the road. As k mentioned, I had a hole in the lower heater hose and lost just about all the coolant... we picked up some distilled water and a generic hose and set about getting the BUR back on the road.

Thanks again to everyone for the help, offer of help, and just general well wishes!

On a side note, took the VW out this morning just to find a hole in my rad hose in that one too! That one was a cinch to fix compared to the BUR!

Sounds like KaleCo Auto has branched out from cross-drilled brake lines to cross-drilled radiator hoses!

If you guys could give me a few days notice on these tech sessions, I might be able to make it! :)

I messed the engine swap by a week!
