Thread: Posible New Wheels

    Default Posible New Wheels

Has anyone run the: Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 15x7 30mm Black
from Good-Win Racing? I like the 30mm offset but just wondered if should look anywhere else first. I may do a photoshop and post pics to get opinions.
But it's to late for that now! Right now Good-Win has them for 125.00 each plus 53 bux shipping. So about 550 total. Thanks, -Wes-

I recently purchased wheels from the Tire Rack. I bought the Kosie K1-TS's in silver. They will also mount and balance the tires for free if you buy them at the same time.

I was realy looking seriously at the 949racing wheels. They have the 30 or 36 offset that you are looking for and come in a real nice nichol finish. Unfortunately, they are currently sold out.

edge racing was another place I checked out.

I know a lot of guys around here are running the Rota Slipsreams. Tim the Teacher recently bought some wheels from Good-win-racing as well.
What ever you buy, there are seveal good choices available. Get what looks good to you.

    Good luck.

I've bought two sets os wheels from Goodwin Racing in the past - a set of 15"x7" Kosei K1s, and a set of 15"x7" Enkei RP-F1s. Both were very reasonably priced, and Brian is a great guy to deal with.

Brian is an awesome person to do business with. Basically own stock in his little scheme with all the parts he has supplied me. They have great rim selection and good info on offsets for different applications.

    Exclamation What I'm Thinkin

I'm thinkin about running the: Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 15x7 30mm Black wrapped in 205/50/15 Hankook Ventus Rs2 Z212 in the front and 225/45/15 in the rear. Looks like it will be about $950 shipped. Anybody have any history with the Hankooks I should look out for? Hopefully will be doin this with in the next few weeks!
    Thanks, -Wes-

I'd pick one width for all 4 wheels. It will retain the balanced handling you love. I have 195/60/14 hankooks on my car, and I like them for the most part. I have had some situations with brake lock once in a while, though. Phenominal wet traction! Those tires navigate puddles with stability and predictability, and have good lateral grip in wet conditions.

I'm just not sure about 225's in the front. I also kinda like the staggered look.
    But balance is also great!

Go with all four wheels as 205's. 225's are overkill.

This way you can rotate them too to get even wear. The King of Bling says NO to mismatched tires on a Miata.

My only gripe with that tire was the tread life, or lack of. The set I had seemed to wear out extra fast.

Staggered wheels are pretty useless on a Miata, unless you've got a lot of power or just like a car that understeers excessively.

I've got a set of Team Dynamics Pro Race that Wes is referring too. He's gonna check em out whenever to see what they look like on his car.

If it were me I'd go with the RS2s and go with either 195/50/15 or 205/50/15 on front and back. I have the 195s and AJ has 225s so you can check them out at the meet tonight.
