Thread: Stolen 99 recovered thanks to you guys!

Default Stolen 99 recovered thanks to you guys!

My stolen miata was recovered today around noon. The guy and his girlfriend had it since sept. of last year. The bad is that they had destroyed it and were using a pick axe to attempt to remove the engine. The front fenders were gone along with two wheels and a whole bunch of other stuff. I now get to fight my insurance for the $6000 in parts receipts that they refused to pay for (most of the stuff is still on the vehicle).

The low down: The car was borrowed by a friend of mine who ran it out of gas. He left it on the side of 121 in hurst in front of the Mazda dealership where he worked. (I have since kicked his ass for being so stupid ) The car got a 48 hour tow notice on the window from Hurst police and was gone early that morning. After the arrest, Diana Teng or Diana Gomez admitted to calling a tow company to tow the car to her house. Her boyfriend and her have since been trying to sell the car off piece by piece. They were both involved in the theft so they are both on their way to tarrant county as we speak.

for anyone who may have bought anything from these people, you probably have stolen parts so be careful! I hope this will help inform everyone.

BIG MAJOR THANKS TO ALL ON DFW MIATA!!!!

Glad to hear that they arrested the guilty parties. May they both rot in jail for a long, long time.

Glad to hear you got it back. If you need any help getting it back together be sure to let me know. I am not sure what I can do but I will help as much as I can.

    So what happens now??

I have to imagine insurance already paid ya for some of the car. From the description I'm wondering if you want it back, sounds like it's been beat.

Glad to see the bad guys lose!

Congrats on the morons getting caught. Too bad they messed up your car before they got caught.

Hopefully you and the insurance company can reach an agreement and get it put back to gether.

    My condolenses,

With the amount of damage it sound like it incurred, I don't think I would be trying to get it put back together. Hopefully, the insurance company will do you right.

Thanks Mr.BRG for leading the police to them.

Can't you just pull these off the wrecked car? (Assuming the parts are still usable.)

I still want that damn rear end...lol.

Just and FYI...If you steal a car, don't give out the VIN. I'd like to think by doing this we stopped another car theft somewhere else. Hopefully these guy roll on someone else, or more evidence from theft shows up so they get some real time.

What are these guys charged with? If value can be calculated at $20k, we're looking at pretty solid felony with 6 years time.
