With GM offering the turbo Skystice twins with 260hp in this market, Mazda is going to have a hard time moving this car in the states. They've stuffed the turbo MZR DISI engine in everything from the 3 to the 6 to the CX-7, and I'd be disappointed if the MSNC (if we ever get one) doesn't have some variant of this engine.

I have heard that there are issues with height on the 2.3 Turbo. I guess they have jammed it in a few Mazdaspeed sponsored drift MX-5s, but they had to remove the counter balance shaft in order to use the oil pan from the 2.0 to get everything to fit. This implies to me that a production MSM would require a good deal of engineering, either in designing a new turbo package for the 2.0, or resolving the height issues without removing the counter balance shaft in the 2.3.Originally Posted by altiain

That front lip doesn't go with the lines of the car at all. A return of the rx7 would be nice.
