    Default Went to the strip

I went to Kennedale last night, not to run my car but to meet a friend. I know how slow my car is so instead I took the camera. I got a few decent pics so here they are.
This car was very clean, and pretty quick.

    Ready...

    Set...

    Go!

    Damn thats fast.

There were a ton of bikes.

This guy got it wrong, but it looks cool. The look on his face tells all.

    Someone got a hole shot.

Everyone thinks drifters came up with raising the rear of the hood, it was this guy.

This was one hell of a race...

And we will finish off with a little bit of smoke.

My buddy seeing how much tire he can waste.

Love how that rear tire is deforming on that vette when it is launching!

Nope bracket racer, 11.8 at 53mph in the 1/8th isnt a sleeper in my book :)

My buddy said he is there every sunday doing bracket racing. It is an auto and it runs an 11.8 every single time. Tough to beat that.

I finally got to see pro mods up close. 4's in the eighth mile. One even dipped in to the 3's. 160mph to 180something were the trap speeds. Those cars were crazy, When they lined up they shook your whole body, I can't wait to see nationals.

Nothing like being at the strip when a top-fuel dragster or funny car is launching!

Yep, whenever I go to Ennis for the NHRA Nats I always make sure to take in the fuel dragsters at the start and also at the finish. Watching the race from the finish line at night is hard to beat..........

hehe. I heard you start choking on the air from the cars and you have to suck water from a rag to get through it easier. Sounds like fun.

yea, its not too bad when the cars are on the track because you are far enough away from them, but when they start them up in the pits it can choke you and make your eyes water pretty good....when they switch the valve from alcohol to nitro you best be upwind
