Thread: S-Plan

    Default S-Plan

I wonder how to use the S Plan. For those of you have done this please let me know how to use the S Plan and still get the TCB deal from the stealership.

I am thinking of replacing my Millenia S. I think with the S Plan, I may able to get a better deal on a Mazda 6 than an Accord (left over of this last modle year = cheap!? ) or a Honda Fit (new model = no discount ). Actually I want to have a SUV but my wallet does not like the price of gas. Is the Honda Pilot also last year of this modle? Chance to get a TCB deal?

    Thanks!

Convinced my dad to get a '05 Pilot and it has not been a very good vehicle, it has been back to the dealer for more BS crap than any vehicle he has ever owned. A school bus has less gear whine than this freaking SUV, shoring up my dislike for all products from Honda (except for my Honda mower it rocks). Luckily we have about a year remaining on the lease and that turkey goes back to Honda, where it will be promptly replaced with a Toyota.

If you have Mazdaspeed support just call and they will send you the S-Plan certificate, I've got two certificates over the past two years for my sister in law, she just got an RX8 about 2 weeks ago.

I'm eligible for it through work.

We used it to buy Robin's Mazda3.

For our system I had to go online and fill out a form to generate a PIN. Took the PIN to the dealership and used it to buy the car.

But how you use the PIN? Do you negoitate the best deal, and before you sign on the dotted line, you tell them, ha ha, I have a S Plan and they subtract the extra discount from the negotiated price? Or, you waving the S Plan paper as you walk into the stealership and they know to give their best deal right off the bat? Or something in between?

POS, how much is your sister-in-law's Rx8. If it is a screaming TCB deal, I may be game for it. This car is for my wife and has to be auto tranny. Still, I would rather have an auto Rx8 than a Camry or Accord. A SUV is nice. But I don't have an oil well in my backyard and a SUV cost at least 10K more.

    Thanks!

Go with the SUV. It will get about the same economy.

Not all dealers have to honor the S-Plan, from the documentation you need to notify the dealer up front of the certificate and if they are a participating dealer you start at the invoice price on that car. Some dealers will stop there, but a majority have given S-Plan and then normal incentives so that not much negotiation is needed.

Depending on what you are looking at though, and your negotiating ability, I have heard of rare few negotiated less that S-Plan and incentives but they only kept the S-Plan pin in their pocket in case the dealer wouldnt budge at all.

Since they didn't ask me for any I don't care what they paid.

They drove it up from Houston this weekend, it's a nice car, and they got every option I think you could get on an RX8 (Sunroof, GPS, Leather, Satalite Radio, yadda, yadda, yadda.......)

This isn't the same relative that ground the brakes into nothing, is it?

Oh, and on the S-Plan, you don't have to tell 'em right away... and if you have other discounts you can sometimes pile them on. I used the S-Plan pricing and the discount coupon from Zoom-Zoom Live when we bought Robin's Mazda3.

Nope the brake killer would be my sister....

The one who got the RX8 is Vivid's sister, the same one who got a new NC last year.

The dealer invoice has the S-Plan pricing on it. You don't do any negotiating. Just buy the car for that price. It is typically rright around invoice price. If there are any rebates, they come off of that price.
