What? There's no gun rack made for a Miata? Heck, why can't someone make a combination roll bar/gun rack!

Dude! I think you're on to something! Then you can mount a row of KC Daylighters on the roll bar!

I don't have one on my roll bar... I just put my rifle in its hard case and place it behind the seat between the seat and the rollbar with the top down.

I sure do get a lot of stares when driving over to the rifle range, but it's fun.

And you can legally carry NOW in your vehicle. You are presumed to be traveling so long as you are not committing a felony, so vehicular carry is legal.
I couldn't remember about the change to allow carry in your vehicle til I double checked, in which you no longer have to be traveling more than 3 counties anymore just traveling. That said, unless you want to legally carry a handgun walking down the street then what is the point other than helping the numbers for the NRA to campain with, which I assume is what you meant above.

Oh, yeah... And next time I've got the extra cash lying about, I'll probably supplant my Glock 19 with a 19C. I've now put enough rounds through the C's to know that even in low light I reacquire the sights about .05 quicker with the C - faster than that when there's more light and muzzle flash is less of an issue.
Ya, my friend used to do the handgun competitions and I was pretty impressed with his shooting with the 19C. Even while shooting at a target while running, like a tactical drill or whatever.

My friend and I thought about temporarily fixing his 30 cal to my style bar! Now that would be a Kodak moment!

I have a CHL, my carry gun is a Tarus 85UL, and I do a pocket carry with it.

I also have a Glock 20C, it's pretty decent, although I currently have a .357 sig bbl in it (am a big fan of the .357 sig.

The most important thing is to shoot a lot & become proficient with whatever you carry.

Suzan and I test fired two guns today. A Kahr P40 and a Taurus PT111 Millenium Pro. The Kahr was a bitch on the trigger pull and the magazine spring was extremely tight and made loading difficult and the cartridge release after firing was fricking hot and fast. OTOH, The PT111 was a great little gun, easy to load, not very heavy with a full clip. I was impressed but have read about a few problems with it. I would still like to fire more 9mm's as the ammo is cheaper and there is a greater variety of manufacturer's. BTW, we both purchased annual memberships at the Bullet Trap and completed our written portions of the CHL....just looking for guns to purchase and practice with before qualifiying.

I was very interested in the Kahr autos until actually firing them. You're right, the trigger pull is HORRIBLE. Taurus, however, makes a lot of great guns. I used to have the PT92 (Beretta 92 copy) and it never gave me trouble.

I just went to a gun show in Ft Worth Saturday and started looking for a new carry gun... I'm thinking along the lines of a Springfield XD, HK USP, or Walther P99...

Gotta get me some money though

I don't have one yet, but I'm looking into getting one, otherwise we could hit up a range and I'd let ya shoot it

From what I've seen, Bass Pro Shop right across from Grapevine Mills had a full XD .40 setup for $500. I'm reaaally interested...

I'm going to head to DFW Gun Range again one of these days and rent a few guns to try out. If I like it I'll get my CHL there also.

From what I've heard, those aren't bad little guns. I may carry one as a backup or primary in low-risk areas...
