And thank you for mentioning this forum! I'm excited to get plugged back into a car community. Didn't get much out of the Mercedes crowd (not my kinda "car" people). Yours was one of my favorite Miatas of the day. I'm slowly convincing my wife to let me get a NA when I'm done tinkering with the NB. She never really understands my attraction to them - yours put it a little bit into perspective for her, I think

The spin was actually in the 4th session - and yes. It was close. I was a total noob and totally f'ed that up for no reason. It was my fastest session of the day. I was starting to brake later into the turns and I scared myself. I wasn't really going too fast for the turn - but when my late(r) braking sent the rear out a bit I froze up and didn't compensate with anything but opposite lock....which obviously is only one piece of the puzzle.

I was pretty happy with myself overall, though. Not bad for an autocrosser's first time out on a road course. Actually - now that I think of it - it was my first time out on any course with the Miata. The last car I autox'ed was the C32.
