Default Hello All - Tech Day Sunday 07-01-07

I will be putting on a free Tech Day open to all Imports at my shop in Irving off loop 12 & Shady Grove. (2025 E Shady Grove suite 1B) I am on the very end of the row on the left side east of loop 12. There will be a dart board free drinks and chips with hot dogs for all.
I will set car up on my lift and look over and hook scan tool up just to see codes. You will have to make appointment to fix later. I use Chilton labor times. I have been working on cars from the age of 12. I have been at a Dealership for last 25 years or more. I work for Metro VW the last 10 years.
Shop Phone 214-395-4880 ask for David Garland
I will have Wheels of America SM Miata on display with a few VW’s
Also should have an ASA Sprint Car to show, if he does not crash night before, LOL
I will be at shop Saturday for those who can’t make it for Sunday.
All display cars and food will be on Sunday 07-01-07
Thank you and tell your friends.

I was there early and stayed until 11:30am. David is very personable, and was a great host. Unfortunately, I had to leave before the food was done, but he showed me around his shop, and I got to "bench race" with a couple of guys. He's a long-time VW nut and is also working on several Spec Miatas - I felt right at home since I'm a recovering VW addict and am now seeking psychiatric help for my MX-5 "mod mania."

Thanks for the good time, David!

    All,

Dave was quite hospitable and is very knowledgeable. He checked out TedtheRed for us and the car is in pretty good shape, given its mileage.

I spoke to him about a couple of things I need to have done and the quote seems to be VERY reasonable.

Thanks for the great time and all of the good food.

Only about 120K. The front wheel bearing is showing a tiny little bit of wear, and the belts ( AC, PS and Alt ) need to be replaced. Other than that he is in pretty good shape.
