I was checking out the Zoom Zoom Live site as it was around this time last year that we registered. Nothing yet, but I came across something interesting when I clicked the "Keep Me Informed" link... They have a drop down that says "Select the city you would like ZoomZoomLive! to visit in the future". It lists 85 different potential sites, including Arlington, Fort Worth, and Plano. Anyone have any clue where they could host an event in Plano?
Audi put on a show last year in a mall lot near Southfork Ranch. Don't know exactly where it was but seemed like a mile or so south.

The SCCA as well as other clubs are always looking for new sites!
See this SCCA link on how you can help! -> http://www.autocross.com/tr/modules/..._id=25&forum=8
I just figured since Zoom Zoom has 4 small courses going at once each year, and they have identified Plano a potential site, it may mean that they have located a decent sized lot that they can rent. Now even if they have, there is a good chance that the reason it could be had is that Mazda is willing to throw A LOT more money at the lot owner than any of the autox clubs would be willing to spend.
Here's my best guess; I've slept since then. Thought it was a small mall but maybe it was a church or something.
I'd definatly go. I'd rather blow up someone elses car than mine all in the name of good fun :-D
Blah blah blah!
Hmm... that's an Albertson's parking lot, and it's full of bolted down cart return thingies. I don't think I'd want to race there!
FWIW, Kimbrough stadium is about 1/2 mile due north of that Albertson's, but it still shows up as a field on Google maps. So does my next door neighbor's house, which puts that satellite image at circa 2002 or before.![]()
