I am so sore this morning. Haven't worked that hard since April Fools Day. The application paperwork seems to have been misplaced, so no permit has been issued. This means no outside work can be done for another two weeks......when it will be even hotter! Oh well, I got to work in the air conditioning this weekend, except for mowing the grass. Was awakened EARLY Sunday morning by a couple of red foxes playing in the backyard. They seem to have taken up residence under the deck.
Upstairs bathroom, soon to be bedroom, has been gutted. All of the granite flooring has been removed and only broke two! Glass blocks removed, none broken. Closet walls removed. Whirlpool tub, pedestal sink, neon and light fixtures removed. Worst part was getting all the sheetrock removed and cleaned up.
Bedroom #2 has the carpet removed from the new bathroom area, as well as locations for all the new walls. Sheetrock has been cut out for the new wall attachments. Original toilet plumbing has been "un-earthed", but needs to be moved about six inches.
Hardly sounds like twenty-three hours of work, does it? The older one gets, the slower the work gets done. Of course, sleeping on a hard floor doesn't help, either.
