Anyone seen the Ron Mueck exhibit at The Modern in Fort Worth?

It's really amazing! I highly recommend it.

BTW, Student ID gets you in for $4 vs. $10.

I agree, but I think this looks like it's worth a look see. I might have to make a drive next weekend.

That's right, the closest I have ever gotten to Modern Art is the Graffiti on the train cars that pass by the nearest crossing!

While I wouldn't call William cultured, he did live in Kaliforneeaye.

I like Expressionism, Impressionism and Deco.

Yep and I got to tour the Getty. On another level, I also toured the Peterson Automotive Museum.

I took some required art classes in college and really appreciate various works of art. To truly appreciate art requires deeper thinking than just physically looking at the aesthetics of the piece. You need to get in the mind of the artist or examine your own thoughts and feelings when you look at the art.

For good local museums, the DMA is good. I need to check out the Nasher and look at the Kimball again. Modern Art sometimes seems harder to appreciate, especially when it uses "found objects". People often have the reaction, "I could have done that!" of which I reply, "But YOU didn't." They had the vision and creativity
