Yikes! Hearing all your stories, I think I got out lucky!

I called my Ins. Agent. I need to get some estimates and call her back.

Usually you'll see cords sticking out of those gators in the road. The retreading process does not include cords, just rubber. Tire casing failure is generally due to poor air pressure maintenance.

Tire pressure gauge for an 18 wheeler is also known as a billy club.

The retread material makes a great bed liner as well. My cousin went behind an old retread plant and pick some out of the trash once upon a time. Unique to say the least.

About 15 years ago, I was on 635 Westbound from Garland when I saw a piece of plywood flip up after an 18 wheeler ran over and hit the ladies car in the lane next to me. 8 years ago I was telling one of the guys I work with about it and he looked at me very oddly and said it was his wife in the car that had that happen to her at that same time.

I recall driving up 75 ~50 mph with a mattress in the back of the truck, tied down in the back(My father said that was all that was needed, I learned never to argue even when they are wrong).... Needless to say it was interesting seeing the mattress fly out go off the 18 wheeler behind us and over all lanes of traffic to rest in the left shoulder.

I almost T-boned a deer on the way back home from here once. I was driving on 82, and I looked down to mess with the radio, and when I looked up the biggest doe I had ever seen was in front of me. I swerved hard left, missing the deer by about a foot. I was eye level with the bottom of the deer's stomach, and had I hit it, it would have been bad.

I'm talking to Rogue about doing it. Dallas Roadster wanted $1077.00.

If Rogue does it, let me know and I'll take in my front spoiler for paint too. It's almost turning green.

Hmmm, if I were Rogue and knew the competition's price.

    $999.99!

Funny, just got off the phone with a vendor in Boise who wanted to know what their competitor had quoted me.
