Thread: First air horn blast today!

Default First air horn blast today!

So I'm easing out of my neighborhood, and there's a park nearby where all the little-leaguers play soccer and baseball in the spring/summer. This time of year, all traffic rules go out the window and the street becomes a congested soccer-mom gauntlet. I'm driving behind this lady in a brand new Range Rover when she decides to pull up to a stop in the middle of the road. Hmmm... So then she rolls up and starts nosing her POS Lucas-wired chunk of aluminium into a too-small parallel parking spot, at which point I start around her. As I ease past, she realizes that her parking effort is a COMPLETE FAILURE, so she cuts left and almost takes out my right front fender. But with a quick cut to my left, and one prolonged 140dB trumpet to announce my presence, I thwarted the lazy slut with the cell phone on her face! I smiled and waved as I rolled by...

...in return I got a pitiful Lucas horn toot and a nice view of her bejeweled finger as she yelled dirty things through her double-insulated window! YESSSS!!!

    Best $50 I ever spent.

Loud horns are always a good idea. I would always mount Fiamm Road Blasters (1 high-tone, 1 low-tone) on my motorcycles and have a set in my Miata too.

    Default Love Air Horns

As a part time pizza delivery guy (not in a Miata...Escort)
I get in all sorts of traffic and people.
Got real tired of the tinny stockers and found a good triple horn at a swap meet.
I get a lot of folks that just try to change lanes into me...at least one per month!!
One shot of the horns and they start looking for the train that is about to hit them.

Back in the day, we would pick up 6 volt horns from the junk yard and put them on our 12 volt cars. Worked pretty well for small investment.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

The Hella SuperTones are supposed to be some of the best. They are louder than airhorns.

I used to have a FIAMM horn on my bicycle... I gotta do that again

I run CRI's on my Miata. They work great and I've freaked a lot of oblivious douchecanoes out with them.

The Stebel Nautilus I picked up is supposed to be 139dB... and I gotta say it'll get your attention! It definitely also worked on the errant Bassett Hound in the middle of the road today. We should have a horn-off some Wednesday nite...

I just have some airhorns but I'd be interested in comparing it to your Nautilus. theheroofyou had the Supertones on his scooby and they were "hella" loud!
