Default Upcoming AX and TT schools early 2005 from Mavericks

I understand the AX and TT schools next year for Maverick PCA are as
    follows:

Ladies AX - 2/19/05 at Pennington (Ladies only)

    AX101 - 2/20/05 at Pennington (everyone)

    AX102 - 3/5/05 at Mineral Wells (everyone)

    TT103 - 3/6/05 at Mineral Wells (everyone)

These schools are still one of the best values out there for instruction
time per dollar. AX 101 and it's second part, AX102 focus on car control
and lower speed Autocross events. The TT103 schools steps it up a notch
and focuses on car control at higher speeds. It is best to have some AX
experience or the AX102 class before taking the TT103 (note AX102 and TT103
    are the same week-end.

The Ladies AX is just that...for ladies only. Mav region feels there may
be women who are intimidated by men supposedly driving so much better than them (ha!). The regions does the best it can to get each woman entry a woman instructor. All the schools have a 2 students per instructor format and all feature a LOT of seat time.

Make sure your tires and brakes are good for any of these schools....but
plenty of rubber and good brakes are especially important for the
    AX102/TT103 combo.

Several members of this forum have taken these schools and perhaps can comment. I will repost when the registration opens probably in early January. I just wanted to post a reminder so you can be planning for this instruction. Let me voice my feelings about learning car control: you start with low-speed AX to learn your car and how to recover from out of control conditions. This will help you tremendously in being able to maintain and recover control of your car at high speeds like at MSR. MSR is a lot safer place if you know how your car feels and understand it's communication from doing the low-speed events. In some of the exercises at these schools you are forced to lose control of your car so you can understand how it feels and learn to regain control. Plenty of skid-pad and slalom time, and even braking excercises. See this link for more info:

Note the dates are last years, but the info is the same. There's a lot of good info on the site with a FAQ covering most topics.

Thanks for the heads-up, Mitch! I've added the school dates to our calendar.
