That's right, the next local autocross is just around the corner! This time its Equipe Rapide at Pennington Field.

So, who is planning on going?

I'm in Tulsa this weekend. I may stop by on the way home, since Pennington is right down the street from the house.

It was a great day! We had a really light turnout for the event, which is surprising this early in the season. But we had 14 Mata’s if I recall correctly!

My day was fair, but sadly I let the cord out of one of my Victoracers, which bummed me out for the rest of the day. The POS finished third, but as is customary with ER I cranked out two sub 40-second runs with the "R" on the car, which I believe would have got me a second place finish!

The CS kids were chasing Lugnutjon, the General was hot on his heels followed up by Kestrel. I’ll let the CS tell you more about that battle.

Tailchaser was able to get around Sammm in Tires class. Onething was a no-show, duty called and he was out restoring power to all of us who had lost it earlier this week.

lost 216 brought home the trophy in sts2! Mark52 took top honors in CSP!

The MME folks had quite a turnout, I recall seeing the following "Cone Smakin Punks" at the event!
    • Tailchaser
      POS
      Sammm
      Altiain
      Kestrel
      Mark52
      General Default
      gabkwong
      johnbaker
      3bean w/ranch dressing
      redbull for breakfast
      lost 216
      Mokey

Plus Robert in his Spec Miata
      Mike W
      lugnutjon

So what else am I missing?

That sounds about right. My guesstimate would be maybe 80-90 cars total, and something like 16 Miata drivers. We also had a few newbies come out to spectate, like JohnSilverNB, and a nice couple with a tan & white '01.

Lugnutjon (so named because he spent the 1st heat replacing yet another stripped lug stud) did as he typically does, winning the class by over half a second and being the only Miata to break into the 37-second range. General Default followed him up with a 38.5xx (iirc), Kestrel cruised by me for third with a 38.6xx, and I languished back in 4th in the 38.8xx range. John Baker took 5th in C Stock, and Mike Watson finished 6th out of 6.

Mark52 squeezed by Mike Steinbach's newly rejuvenated Datsun roadster for 1st place in CSP.

There were also some cool and unique cars out there, including a 1959 (not a typo) Jaguar sedan running in Street Mod.

The best part - we were all packed up and ready to leave before 3pm, and even after sticking around for trophies we were still on the way home by 3:45pm.

The collaborative write-up for this event (attributed to POS this time) is up. If you have anything to add, let me know!.
