Thread: Custom Exhaust Shop

    Default Custom Exhaust Shop

Can anyone recomend a shop in the Plano/Richardson area that does "good" work? All I really need is a crappy double wall chrome tip cut off and replaced w/ a 2.5" diam pipe about 4" long, but I don't want a crap midas job.

The double wall tip on my Flyin Miata turbo single exhaust is starting to rattle and sounds like sh*t.

    Thx!

+1 - They do great work and do it the way you want. (Although they'll tell you if they think your way will cause problems)

    Default Joe's Muffler in Addison

I've been going to Joe's Muffler in Addison for a long time. He does a hell of a job - perfect welds and a good eye. PLUS, he's quite reasonable. He's just one guy by himself, and his shop is not, um, "state of the art" but he's the best guy I know. He won't jerk you around like Midas, and he does a lot better job than places like Triple-A or Ken's. I haven't ever tried him for anything too far out custom, but he'd be the first guy I asked.

(BTW, he's just south of Arapaho on the west side of the road, tucked in behind the big car wash)

....and if you want to go to Wylie, Kurt Janish can weld anything! And if you want to go a bit southwest, Ray's Muffler Shop in Hazlet has done a lot of work for me in the past and does a hellufajob...
