Make sure to buy anouther set of tires. the ones that come on it only have a treadlife of 160. I hope it rides better than the regular 3.

I have heard that some heavy hitter auto-crossers are starting to open their eyes to it.

With just simple bolt-ons and an ECU upgrade this car could be making way more power than you can handle. That would be a big downer!

    Can't drift it!

And the 160 treadwear tires ain't that bad... TireRack has the Sumimoto HTR-Zs in that rating on special for the the CHEAPNESS ~$60 a tire. Thats what the S2K is walking on right now, and they ride very smooth and firm.

    Torque steer....

    Curb weight: 3180 lb

Standing 1/4 mile: 14.4 sec@ 99 mph <- not that great for the hp, but this is why:

To further stifle any possible torque steer, the powertrain control module has the turbocharger wastegate bleeding off excess boost during possible torque spikes in first and second gear and allowing maximum boost only in third gear and beyond and restraining torque output when sensors indicate that the front wheels are angling into a turn.
    Drive by wire

They are nice, but the above is a list of the MS3's cons, IMO.

The MSPs haven't depreciated that much. I suspect the used market for a stock MS3 will stay strong for a good while, unless they start making a ton of them.

Higher than STI level insurance costs are a big detractor for a lot of buyers.
