Yes, that will work but it since it never gets to the regulator it only spills a small amount of fuel and then will cut off. Thats what we were doing before we found out about the valve.
    Blah blah blah!

Do some research and see if you can find out what it is. I believe I recall Gary mentioning that the pump that the dealer wanted a fortune for for his turned out to be a Walbro that he could have gotten for a third the price.

I've been searching Motorcraft parts. I want to stay OEM.

Ford fuel pumps are very model dependent. Year, engine, wheelbase. Stupid, I know.

    Hey Sammm,

Stupid question, but did you put a voltmeter on the wires going to the fuel pump to see if it's getting power?

Maybe you have a bad relay instead...

No stupid questions, only stupid answers. POS and I swapped relays yesterday with a functioning circuit with the same results. I can hear/feel the relay engage and disengage.

How much gas you got in the tank? When my fuel pump died on my Suburban, I had just filled up the day before. 44 gallon tank. Even after siphoning out as much as possible, it still weighed a ton. Had to use a floor jack to drop it.

Think about maybe getting an electric pump that you can choose the location and when or if happens again, it is easy to get to. That's what we do on our '61 Chevy pick-ups.

It's around 1/4 tank right now (25 gallon max). I was already planning on using the floor jack to drop it and put it back in.

Just ordered a new OEM fuel pump from RockAuto.com ($239).
