    Default Explorer A/C

I've got a 96 Explorer and the A/C manifold hose is bad. Getting it fixed at a garage is over $500. I can buy the part at Autozone for about $150. Does anyone here have the equipment etc. to recharge?

You might also check Able Auto in Plano and see how much it would cost for a custom hose. 9725178007

You will need to get a vacuum to suck down the lines after you put the new hose on and before you fill with refrigerant. Depending on whether the hose burst or just slowly leaked out, you may need to add oil to the system.

I have an air operated vacuum pump you can borrow.
